Mashramani 2011

The Ptolemy Reid Rehabilitation Centre hosted a Mashramani celebration on February 21, 2011.  Participants included both children and staff of the Centre as well as students from several schools in the neighbouring environs, who were invited to interact with the children.  Participants were divided into four different teams each with its own colour (red, gold, royal blue and green).  Activities for the celebration included face painting, games and a short parade.  Costumes worn for the parade bear an African theme in honour of 2011 being designated the Year of People of African Descent.
